The installation took place in Vileišiai palace, the Institute of Lithuanian literature and folklore. The building of the institute itself has a long history - ever since it has been built by Petras Vileišis, the palace has served a function of preserving the Lithuanian language and culture during various difficult times. As well as being a remarkable building, a base of national organizations, scientists‘ workplace, a museum and a place to preserve memory, the Vileišiai palace first and foremost has been a home to its creators. House-plants are one of the tokens of this strange mixture of homely atmosphere and a modern office, which is what the Institute is now. Here they are all collected in the same place: the little things the modern emploees have brought in to make a workplace feel more like home.
